基于Web的英语口语训练系统研究

【摘要】 随着互联网技术、计算机技术、多媒体技术的蓬勃发展,在教学中运用网络多媒体技术正在越来越普及,这一做法也正在影响和改变传统的教学方式。基于Web的在线学习方是运用多媒体技术、数据库技术、网络技术等现代信息技术手段的一种新型教学形式,它使知识的创造、存储、学习和利用方式正发生革命性的变化。同时,这也给自主学习提供了广阔的空间。本文对现有的基于Web的英语口语训练系统进行了全面深入的分析,结合目前中学英语口语教学现状,试行开发了基于Web的英语口语训练系统。目前基于Web的英语口语训练系统建设和维护中存在两个主要问题:一是媒体的集成度太高,这样导致系统的开发成本提高,多媒体素材的通用性变差。另一个就是学习资源的开发比较困难,一般需要专业人员来开发和维护。针对第一个问题,本系统采用多媒体同步技术来实现在线英语口语训练。多媒体同步技术指多种媒体按照一定的时空关系进行合成。多媒体同步研究的是多媒体信息的动态合成,而不是多媒体信息的静态加工。使用多媒体同步技术动态合成多媒体,有利于保护和重用多媒体信息,也有利于多媒体信息的有效存储和维护。第二个问题是通过开发学习资源创建的软件来解决。通过使用本文开发的学习资源处理软件可以降低学习资源开发的难度,使师生共同参与学习资源的建设成为可能。本系统的开发环境采用Windows 2003 Server+ⅡS6.0+Access2003:开发技术采用ASP、SMIL。这样的架构保证整个系统具有较好的兼容性和快速的开发速度。系统在总体结构上是属于B/S结构,各类训练资料以及其他相关信息都存在服务器一端,采用Access数据库统一存放和组织。本系统提供给每位学生一个属于自己的英语口语学习环境,通过该系统,学生可以非常方便的获得丰富的学习资源,进行在线的口语训练。同时,教师通过该系统也可以对学生的口语学习情况进行异步评价,能使学生获得及时反馈。这对现行的中学英语口语教学是一个有益的补充。更多还原

【Abstract】 With the rapid development of Internet, computer and multimedia technology, the trend of using Web-based multimedia instruction is getting more and more popular, and it has been promoting the change of traditional educational means. Web-based multimedia instruction is a new type of teaching method that requires multimedia technology, database technology and modern information technology. It has brought revolutionary changes to the creation, storage, learning means of the knowledge. Meanwhile, this has also provided self-learning with vast space.This paper conducts a comprehensive and thorough analysis on the current web-based spoken English training system. According to the current situation of the teaching of spoken English in high schools, it is attempting to build a web-based spoken training system.The current web-based spoken English training system has two main problems in building and maintaining. One is that the media-integration level is too high, which leads to the increase of the cost of development and the decrease of the universality of the multimedia materials. The other one is that the development of learning resources is rather difficult and it requires professionals to develop and maintain.To solve the first problem, this system provides online spoken English training by using synchronized multimedia technology. Synchronized multimedia technology refers to the combination of multiple media according to certain space-time relations. It studies the dynamic combination of multimedia information rather than static process. To combine multiple media by using synchronized multimedia technology will not only benefit the protection and reuse of multimedia information, but also the effective storage and maintenance. The second problem can be solved by developing software of learning-resource creating. The degree of difficulty can be lowered by using the author’s learning-resource processing software, which makes it possible for teachers and students collaborate on the construction of learning resources.The development environment of this system is Windows 2003 Server + IIS6.0 + Access 2003; the development technology is ASP and SMIL. Such a structure guarantees good compatibility and high development speed. The general structure of his system is a B/S structure in which all the training materials and other related information are all stored and organized in Access databases at the server end.This system provides each student with a his-own learning environment of spoken English. By using this system, the students can obtain abundant learning resources and online spoken English training conveniently. Meanwhile, the teachers can conduct asynchronous evaluation of the students’ learning progress and provides the students with on-time feedback.
