基于CMX589A的GMSK调制解调器的实现研究

【摘要】 调制解调技术是移动通信系统的重要组成部分,GMSK调制具有频谱利用率高、抗干扰能力强、误码率低、带外辐射小等优点,因此广泛应用于移动通信和卫星通信系统中。目前,研究GMSK调制解调技术的实现方案有很多,但采用专用器件和通用可编程器件相结合的方法来实现的相关研究却很少。专用的ASIC器件具有精度高、性能稳定、工作可靠等特点,而通用可编程器件则具有软件可剪裁、更新容易等优点。本文将二者的优点结合起来,提出一种新的实现方法,即研究基于CMX589A和FPGA的GMSK调制解调方案。在实现方法上提出了一种新的解决方案,为理论研究提供了一种依据,具有一定的实用价值。本文首先介绍了GMSK调制技术的发展及国内外研究的现状,在分析这些实现方法的基础上,提出了基于CMX589A与FPGA相结合的方法来实现GMSK调制解调;然后根据系统的性能需要设计了GMSK调制解调器的硬件平台,并讨论了各部分的电路原理和设计方法;同时利用QuartusⅡ软件编译环境和DSP Builder分别进行调制器和解调器的软件设计,仿真结果的正确性从理论上验证了该方案的可实施性;最后根据测试方案,在所设计的硬件平台上,对系统的功能和性能进行测试和分析。测试和实际运行结果表明设计方法的正确性,且功能和技术指标满足设计要求。
【Abstract】 Modulation and demodulation technology are important part of the mobile communication system.GMSK modulation have been widely adopted for many mobile communication systems and Satellite communication systems because of many advantages,such as better spectrum efficiency,stronger anti-interference performance,low Bit Error Rate.Currently,there exists various solutions to carry out GMSK modem,ASIC and general programmable devices’solution is still in developing.This paper presents a new method to design GMSK modem based on CMX589A and FPGA ,which combines ASIC device’s advantages of high precision,stable and reliable performance and general programmable device’s ability of easily software updated. Therefore,the implementation of GMSK modem is innovative and of great significance in theoretical research and practical application.In this paper,the development and research progress of GMSK modulation technology both at home and abroad are firstly introduced,then the solution of GMSK modulator and demodulator based on CMX589A and FPGA are presented by analyzing characeteristic of current methods.Secondly,the hardware platform of GMSK modem is designed according to the system’s requirements,the principle and design of each part is given in details.Meanwhile,the system’s software is designed based on Quartus II and DSP Builder,the results of simulation verify the theoretical correctness of design.Finally,the function and performance of the system are tested on the hardware platform and the results are presented and analyzed.Through test and actual operation,both of the functions and technical specifications meet the design requirements.
