【摘要】 步入古稀之年的英国汉学家杜德桥(Glen Dudbridge)教授致力于中国研究50余年,精通多国语言,迄今共计出版论著8部,论文19篇。他先后担任牛津大学东方学院中国学术研究所所长、欧洲汉学家协会主席、中国社会科学院名誉高级研究员等职务,堪称欧洲汉学界翘楚之一。杜德桥先生虽然在中国国内有一定盛名,但大陆就其学术成果方面的译介还是相当阙如的。从具体数字上看,中国大陆至今没有出版过其著作的中译本。此外,在他发表的19篇学术论文中,也只有5篇被译成中文。对于杜德桥先生学术的介绍情况则略好一些,但多数也只是提到他某一篇章或某个领域的研究,且存在多处误读。而事实上,杜德桥教授的研究对象涉及民俗、文学、宗教、史学等多个学科领域,这样的介绍和引用难免有失偏颇。经过对第一手原始资料的研读以及与教授本人沟通后可以发现,杜德桥先生从传统文学入手开始他的汉学之旅,尔后在多个因素促成下逐渐将研究重心转向中国古代民间宗教。本文首先基本而又较全面地介绍杜德侨教授前后整个学术脉络,找出其间发生转变的影响因素,然后以他关于《广异记》的研究为案例,着力重点分析和评价他在中国古代民间宗教方面的研究贡献。文章的最后则浅谈杜德桥教授的学术特点及得失,并对国内学者关于杜德桥先生有关学术资料的误引、误用加以辨析。行文的同时还参考了国内外学者在各个相同研究领域内的研究成果,辅以比较分析。杜德桥教授在《唐代宗教体验与世俗社会——对戴孚<广异记>的解读》一书里,通过志怪笔记小说《广异记》所记录的“报告”看到了作者戴孚所处时代正经历着的巨大变化。他利用内部故事、外部故事这组双重叙事情景,分析这些变化的内在动因,并以更加长期的眼光来看待中国历史,尤其是中国民间宗教几千年来的变迁情况。更多还原

【Abstract】 Glen Dudbridge, the seventy-year old British sinologist with excellent language skills, has devoted himself on Chinese studies for more than 50 years. Up to now, he has published 8 books and 19 articles. His positions included Director of the Institute for Chinese Studies at Oxford University, the President of the European Association of Chinese Studies and Honorary Academy Member of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, which make him one of the top scholars in Europe and the whole world.In spite of his large reputation, seldom of his achievements is introduced or translated to us. Here are some numerical evidences: Except those written in Chinese, none of his books was translated or published in Chinese mainland, and only 5 of the 19 articles were translated into Chinese. Most introductions focus on one article or one chapter, and often with some misunderstandings. In fact, as his research involves different fields including folklore, literature, religion and history, those introductions were not accurate or objective.On the basis of getting a full command of the original materials and almost two years E-mail contact with professor himself, we can conclude a track for his research: stared from classical literature, and then turned to Chinese traditional religion. This dissertation firstly introduces his scholar track in a basic but complete way, trying to find the influential elements causing such a change. Secondly, do a case study on Chinese traditional religions by Religious experience and lay society in Tang China. Finally make some comments on Mr. Dudbridge’s achievements and the introductions by Chinese scholars. Meanwhile, this dissertation also makes some comparisons with the studies by different scholars in the same field from home and abroad.The reports in Kuang-i chi can reveal to us the dynamics of Tai Fu’s world. Dr. Dudbridge analysis these science of forces and motion by inner story and outer story, and furthermore, take a long-term view to the dynamic movement through time.更多还原
