【摘要】 有着独特的文化背景和身份的印裔作家V．S．奈保尔是当今英国文坛上最引人瞩目的移民作家和后殖民作家，同时也是引起争议最大的作家。奈保尔是一个无根作家，所处的不同文化背景给予了他双重的透视和批评视角。他把后殖民时代的第三世界国家置于这一视角之下，试图表现复杂的政治、民族、宗教、和文化的问题。在“逆写帝国”的作家群体中，奈保尔的作品因其对第三世界全景式的展现和深刻的透视，对于前殖民宗主国文化与前殖民地之间文化关系的反思，凸现了其独特的文本价值。缘于此，奈保尔成为了“第三世界”的“阐释者”和反思者。奈保尔的复杂的文化身份、特殊的透视视角、尴尬的价值认同取向使得其作具有巨大的解读和剖析空间。更多还原

【Abstract】 With his special cultural background and identity,V.S.Naipaul,a British writer born in an Indian family is a most prominent writer as well as the most controversial one.V.S Naipalll is a rootless writer.His special cultural background has made it possible for him to command a double-edged critical perspective.Thereafter,he aims at renecting complex problems concerning politics、religion、nationality and culture.Among the writers of Empire Writes Back,Naipaul should be singled out for his unique works which distinguished themselves for their profound thinking on the cultural relations between the former metropolitan and colonials.Naipalll is viewed as the Interpreter and meditator of the Third World.Considering all of this,Naipaul and his works are well worth reading and researching into.更多还原
