英汉语言结构差异的文化分析

【摘要】 中国大学英语教学中，英汉思维方式之间的差异被认为是引起语言错误的根本原因之一。语言与文化密不可分，而作为文化重要组成部分的思维方式必然会体现于语言当中。为了考察英汉思维方式之间的差异，本文采用对比分析的方法就英汉语言在构词、句子结构和篇章布局三个方面做了简单的比较与分析。研究表明，以英语为母语者倾向于分析思维，而中国人则更善于综合思维。通过文化探源，笔者以为，这一思维方式上的明显差异可以追溯到两个民族最初所生存的自然环境的不同、以及由此产生的社会价值观念和哲学思想上的不同。更多还原

【Abstract】 In China’s college English teaching, the differences between English and Chinese thinking patterns are believed to be one of the fundamental reasons for errors or mistakes committed by students. Since language and culture coexist in an inextricable relationship, thinking pattern, as an essential part of culture, is naturally embodied by its corresponding language. Therefore, a contrastive analysis is conducted between English and Chinese in the aspects of word formation, sentence structure and discourse organization to make out the differences between English and Chinese thinking patterns. The analysis reveals that native English speakers tend to think analytically while native Chinese prefer to think synthetically. And it is held in this thesis that the striking difference is traceable to the different natural surroundings, social values and traditional philosophies between ancient westerners and Chinese.更多还原
