基于DSP的低码率实时视频传输技术的研究

【摘要】 甚低码率视频图像编解码技术是近年来视频处理领域的一个研究热点。在诸多视频编码实现方法中,除了已广泛应用的纯软件方法外,基于DSP芯片的方法具有显著的优势。视频压缩编码本质是数字信号处理,DSP芯片比通用CPU更适合做数字信号处理,因此将DSP芯片用于视频编码具有独特的优点。本文首先介绍了视频图像编码原理、H.263建议和基于DSP芯片的实时信号处理系统。然后按照DSP系统的开发流程,设计开发了一个基于DSP芯片的H.263实时视频压缩编解码系统。该系统硬件设计选择了Conexant公司的Bt819A芯片为前端视频采集A/D芯片,Bt852芯片作为后端视频的输出D/A芯片,完成对视频信号数字化和逆处理,为DSP对系统功能处理作好准备。然后,以TI公司TMS320C6711芯片为核心的DSK系统作为实现H.263算法核心部分。该系统软件设计部分针对H.263核心算法模块:DCT、DCT和运动估计模块,阐述了全零发现技术,并与传统运动估计结合应用一种基于发现全零块的中止准则,对原有算法进行了改造,取得了良好的效果。
【Abstract】 Video coding realization in narrow band channel is a hotspot in video processing field. Among many methods that realize video coding, the method based on DSP chip also bears remarkable advantage besides pure software method which used widely.The essence of video coding is digital signal processing, and DSP chip is more suitable for digital signal processing than general CPU. Thus, there will be of great benefit employ DSP chip video coding. In this paper the principle of video coding, the recommendation H.263 and the real-time signal processing system based on DSP chip are introduced first. A H.263 real-time video coding system based on DSP chip is then designed which follows the develop flow of a DSP system. The Bt819A of brooktree corp is selected for front-end video A/D transforming, Bt852 as video D/A, and the TMS320C6711 of TI corp. selected for H.263 core algorithm processing in the system hardware design. In the system software design, H.263 core algorithm modules (DCT, DCT, motion estimation) are discussed. Exploits the fact that many residual blocks become all zero blocks after DCT and quantizationin very low bit rate videocoding. A motion search algorithm asing zero block detection technology, is proposed in this paper.
