【Abstract】 Qingyan Garden shows the unique style of garden art as the largest Yamen garden in the history of water transport in Ming and Qing dynasties in China. It is a rare treasure as one of the Chinese classical gardens. This paper expounds the profound connotation of the Qingyan Garden in terms of its historical and cultural value, which has been accumulated in the past 600 years, from the aspects of its historical changes, garden building, gardening art, poetic works, etc..
