【Abstract】 This session of the dialogue deals with the evolutionary features of Tourism Studies as a research field. The discussion focuses on the transition from the prior to the current generation of tourism scholars known as the "T-generation". Defining features of a field’s evolution such as expansions of boundaries and disciplinary inputs or theoretical advancement are reflected in the instances of Tourism Studies. A great expectation is felt for theoretical breakthrough in the new generation, as well as for Tourism Studies to produce knowledge and theories with spillover effects on other fields. Arguably a foreseeable transition from "academic circles" to "academic schools" is underway.更多还原
