泰国初中学生汉语学习动机研究

【摘要】 自上个世纪50年代以来,第二语言习得研究受到了诸多学者和研究者的关注。第二语言习得研究主要包括了对语言学习者的研究和对语言学习本身的研究,而对语言学习者的研究主要是对学习者个体差异性的研究。学习者个体差异性可分为生理性因素、认知因素和情感因素,而学习动机是第二语言学习中最重要的情感因素之一,对第二语言学习者的语言学习有着重要的影响。学习动机是一个动态的心理过程,它和学习者的内部因素以及外部因素存在着很密切的关系。因此对学习者学习动机的研究,对对外汉语教学具有非常重要的参考价值。本研究在借鉴国内外相关研究的基础上,参考了前人在对外汉语教学界相关方面所做的研究成果,并从语言学、教育学、心理语言学、二语习得等多个理论角度出发,采用了调查问卷、课堂观察、访谈交流等多种方法,对泰国学生汉语学习动机情况进行全面的调查和分析,比较不同学习者学习动机存在的差别,并分析其独特性。此外,本研究还采用了课堂观察以及跟踪访谈调查的方法,以了解泰国汉语学习者的在不同时期的学习情况,并获取其学习动机动态发展的总体情况。本研究的最终目标在于发现泰国汉语学习者在相对自然的状态下的学习动机特点,分析影响其学习动机的相关因素,并提出相应的建议和对策为提高对外汉语教学的质量提供有效的参考和建议。本论文一共分为五个部分。第1章是绪论部分,主要是提出问题,说明研究意义、研究目的和方法。第2章对学习动机理论的发展进行了概括总结,并且对国内外汉语第二语言学习动机的研究做了较为全面的综述,并说明其对本研究的启发以及确定本研究的必要性。第3章对泰国初中生汉语学习动机进行了调查,用数据统计软件对调查得出的数据做出了科学的分析。并主要从是否华人、年级、性别这三个维度与泰国汉语学习者的学习动机进行了相关性的分析。第4章是重点阐述的部分。在借鉴相关理论及自己调查实验的基础上,对泰国初中生汉语学习动机提出了相关对策,希望为对外汉语教学起到一定的参考和借鉴作用,并指出这些对策需要在教学的过程中不断地检验和完善使其更加客观、更具有科学性。第5章为结论,总结本研究对当前对外汉语教学存在的价值、直接或间接的作用,并指出了在研究资料、调查范围以及研究方法等方面的不足和局限,从而提出进一步研究的设想。研究表明,大多数泰国汉语学习者的学习动机都比较明确。随着年龄的增长、学习的深入以及汉语水平的提高,他们对于自己的学习动机也有了进一步清楚的认识和了解,因而学习汉语也能表现出更加的努力。从此次调查的数据表明,泰国汉语学习者在是否华人、性别、年级、三个维度上较为明显地表现出不同的动机。因此,在对外汉语教学的过程中,汉语教师应根据自己的学生的具体情况进行具体分析,采取正确和恰当的方法激发他们的学习动机,以便取得更好的学习效果和教学效果。同时,我们根据泰国汉语学习者的学习实际状况,也提出了相应的激发学习动机的教学策略。

【Abstract】 Since the 1950s, the study of second language acquisition has raised many academics and researchers’concern. The study mainly includes study of language learners and study of language leaning, and the study of language learners is mainly about study of individual difference. Learners’ individual difference can be divided into physiologic factors, cognitive factors, and emotional factors. The learning motivation is one of the most important emotional factors, and has an important effect on the second language learners’ language-learning. Learning motivation is dynamic psychological process; there is a close relationship between it and the learners’internal and external factors. Therefore, studying on the learners’learning motivation has very important reference value in TCFL (Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language). This study is based on the related study from home and abroad, and referred to the previous achievement on the field. Proceeding from linguistics, pedagogy, psycholinguistics, second language acquisition and other theory, Using questionnaire, classroom observation, interviews and other methods, a comparatively overall survey and analysis was carried on the situation of Thai students’learning motivation, to compare difference motivation of various learners, and to analyze the unique. Moreover, this study has used methods such as classroom observation and tracking interview, in order to understand the learning situation of Chinese learners in Thai in different stages, as well as to get access to the general situation of the dynamic development of their learning motivation. The ultimate goal of this study is find out the characteristics of Chinese learners in Thai in the relatively natural state, to analyze the relevant factors which affect their learning motivation, as well as to make appropriate recommendations and measures that effectively improve the quality of TCFL.This dissertation falls into five section:Chapter I is the Introduction. It mainly raises questions, demonstrates the meaning, goal and methods of the study.Chapter II is about Summarizing the development of learning motivation theory, as well as an all-round overview on the study of the motivation of second language learning, illustrating the inspiration for this study and the necessity of determining the study. ChapterⅢ:Investigating the learning motivation of Thai middle school students, Using statistical software to analyze data from surveys, and mainly make correlative analysis between the dimension such as Ethnic Chinese or not, grade, gender, etc. and the Chinese learners’ motivation in Thai.ChapterⅣ:The intensive expatiated part. On the basis of reference to relevant theory and investigation and experiment, we propose related strategy for learning motivation of Thai middle school students; wish to provide reference to TCFL, and point out that these strategies needed to test and improve continually, in order to be more objective and scientific.ChapterⅤ:This part is about Conclusions of the value and direct or indirect function of this study on the present TCFL. Moreover, pointing out the deficiencies and limitations in the research data, the scope of the investigation and research methods, thereby, idea for further study was proposed.The results show that, most Chinese learners in Thailand possess clear learning motivation. As increasing in age, deeply learning, and improving in Chinese learning, they have further clearer understanding and knowledge of their learning motivation, so they work harder on Chinese learning. The data from this survey indicate that, Ethnic Chinese or not, grade, gender, etc. would perform difference apparently on the motivation of Chinese learner in Thailand. Therefore, in the process of TCFL, the Chinese teacher should make concrete analysis of the students’ condition; take proper and suitable approaches to stimulate their learning motivation to achieve better effectiveness in learning and teaching. At the same time, according to the actual conditions of Chinese learners in Thailand, it was put forward the corresponding instructional strategies that can stimulate the learning motivation.
