白光干涉法保偏光纤偏振耦合测试频域分析的研究

【摘要】 在白光干涉法偏振耦合测试中,由于保偏光纤双折射色散的存在,偏振耦合测试的最大测试距离明显下降。白光干涉的频域分析能够反映光程差与波长之间的关系,从而减少双折射色散对偏振耦合测试的影响,延长测试距离。从白光干涉的基本理论出发,分析了双折射色散对偏振耦合测试的影响,提出了提高偏振耦合测试最大测量长度的频域分析的方案。在实验室已研制出的分布式偏振耦合测试仪的基础上,搭建了频域分析的系统,完成了LabVIEW软件系统的设计,进行了白光干涉光谱算法的研究。同时实验验证了有关频域理论的理论分析,计算出了被测保偏光纤耦合强度,延长了偏振耦合测试的距离。主要工作内容1.从白光干涉基本原理出发,分析了双折射色散对保偏光纤偏振耦合测试的影响,推导了在耦合点处白光迈克尔逊干涉的光谱分布。2.在已有的分布式偏振耦合测试仪的基础上,完成了偏振耦合测试频域分析的系统改造,主要分为电机控制系统,数据接收系统,数据采集系统的设计。3.通过LabVIEW语言完成了计算机控制步进电机导轨的移动和光谱仪的数据采集程序设计,满足了保偏光纤偏振耦合测试频域分析要求。4.完成了直接法,极值法,均方差法及傅立叶变换法进行干涉光谱数据分析处理的算法研究,选用了极值法和傅立叶变换法进行数据处理,并基于Matlab软件完成了算法的实现。5.对频域分析系统进行了实验测试,通过不同长度的耦合点测试证明了频域分析系统能够测量保偏光纤耦合强度,并且减少了折射色散的影响,提高了偏振耦合测试距离。

【Abstract】 In the measurement of polarization coupling using white light interferometry, the measurement range in polarization coupling analyzer descend obviously influenced by the birefringence dispersion of polarization maintaining fibers (PMF). The frequency domain analysis of white light interferometry can show the relationship between optical path difference and wavelength, in this way the influence of birefringence dispersion on measurement of polarization coupling is reduced and measurement range is prolonged.Based on white-light interference theory ,the influence of birefringence dispersion on the measurement of polarization coupling is analyzed and the frequency domain analysis for improving measurement range of the measurement of polarization coupling is developed. Based on the developed distributed polarization coupling analyzer , the system of frequency domain analysis is completed and LabVIEW software system is designed. The algorithms of white light interferometry spectrum is researched. In the experiment, the coupling intensity of the test fiber has been calculated and the measurement range has been prolonged.Major achievements of this dissertation:1. Based on white-light interference theory, the influence of birefringence dispersion on the measurement of polarization coupling is analyzed and the coupling point spectral distribution in white light Michelson interferometer is derived.2. Based on the developed distributed polarization coupling analyzer, the system of frequency domain analysis on the measurement of polarization coupling is developed, which is composed of step motor control system,data receiving system and data acquisition system.3. The program of using computer to control the movements of stepmotor guide and the data collection of spectrometer is designed by LabVIEW language, meeting the requirements of frequency domain analysis on the measurement of polarization coupling.4. Researchment on the algorithms of analyzing the white light interferometry spectrum by direct method, extremum method ,mean square deviation method and fourier transform method is completed.
