基于公理化设计矩阵与设计结构矩阵同步演化的产品设计

Product Design Based on the Co-evolution of Axiomatic Design Matrix and Design Structure Matrix

【摘要】 产品设计是在满足各种设计需求和设计约束的条件下进行的创造性的工作,其过程是一项复杂的系统工程。俗话说,工欲善其事,必先利其器。因此,在做产品设计研发的时候,我们必须要有良好的、合适的设计理论与方法作为工具,才能提高产品设计质量、降低设计成本、缩短研发时间,从而增加产品或者企业在市场中的竞争力。本文在分析研究了现代产品设计理论(如:公理化设计、设计结构矩阵、功能方法树等)之后,发现目前各设计理论在一定条件下是相对独立的,单一的产品设计理论与方法并不能完全满足市场中快速进行产品创新设计的要求。因此,本文提出基于公理化设计矩阵与设计结构矩阵同步演化的产品设计思想,实现二者优势互补,促进产品创新设计。具体研究内容如下:首先,介绍了公理化设计、设计结构矩阵和功能方法树的基本理论与方法;并对传统功能方法树进行改进,提出改进型功能方法树。其次,分析了公理化设计与设计结构矩阵的优缺点;分别研究公理化设计矩阵与设计结构矩阵的工作机制;提出基于公理化设计矩阵与设计结构矩阵同步演化的产品设计方法。再次,研究了基于改进型功能方法树、公理化设计矩阵与设计结构矩阵同步演化的产品设计框架,深入研究了其同步演化的机制;根据复合矩阵概念,提出基于对角线法则的公理化设计矩阵与设计结构矩阵同步演化的步骤与相应算法;开发了计算机辅助概念设计系统以支持公理化设计与设计结构矩阵同步演化。最后,以自动化物料运输系统和自动化电动门为实例,详细阐明了公理化设计矩阵与设计结构矩阵同步演化的产品设计过程。

【Abstract】 Product design, satisfying all kinds of design requirements and design constraints, is a creative work. This process of product design is a complex systematic engineering. There is a proverb that the work desire is well its matter, necessarily and first the benefit its machine. Thus, during product development, we must need a good and appropriate design theory and method as a tool so that product design quality can be improved, design cost be reduced and development time be decreased. Therefore, the competition of product or enterprise in market will be enhanced.After analyzing and studying popular product design theory (e.g., axiomatic design, design structure matrix, function-means tree, and so on), it is found that design theories are independent in constrained condition and one single theory or method can’t quickly satisfy the need of product innovation design in market. Thereby, the idea of product design based on the co-evolution of axiomatic Design Matrix (DM) and Design Structure Matrix (DSM) was presented in this paper. Complementary between DM and DSM was carried out to accelerate product innovation design. More details are as follows:Firstly, basic theory and method of Axiomatic Design (AD), DSM and Function-means Tree (FMT) were presented. Traditional FMT was improved by increasing constraints and objectives and Improved Function-means Tree (IFMT) was constructed.Secondly, advantages and disadvantages of AD and DSM were analyzed. The working mechanism on DM and DSM was studied respectively. The method concerning product design based on the co-evolution of DM and DSM was proposed.Thirdly, the framework of product design based on the co-evolution of IFMT, DM and DSM was studied. The co-evolution mechanism of them was further studied. A content of Composite Matrix (CM) was proposed and co-evolution steps and corresponding algorithms of DM and DSM based on diagonal theorem were studied. A computer aided conceptual design system has been developed to enable the co-evolution of DM and DSM.Finally, two case studies regarding automotive material transportation system and automatic power door were given to illustrate the co-evolution process between DM and DSM in detail.
