基于IP UTRAN架构的NBAP信令通信系统的设计和实现

【摘要】 UTRAN是一种全新的接入网,是UMTS适用范围最广的一种接入方式。UTRAN可使用ATM和IP两种传送方式,其中基于IP的UTRAN具有网络资源利用率高、节省运营成本等优点,可满足Internet和内联网的广泛使用引起的IP联网设备的降价要求、符合网络向全IP方向发展趋势,是当前的热点研究内容。鉴于IP UTRAN潜在的市场及效益预期,普天研究院顺应网络大融合的趋势,开始研发具有IP UTRAN功能的3G基站产品。Iub接口是UTRAN架构中基站和RNC间的逻辑接口,传统的Iub接口使用的是ATM方式,为了实现IP UTRAN,需要在Iub接口上IP化,因此,需要开发基于IP UTRAN架构的NBAP信令通信系统。本文设计的基于IP UTRAN架构的NBAP信令通信系统实现了IP UTRAN架构下的Iub接口的网络传输功能。功能包括双栈下链路管理、SCTP参数配置、偶联建立、NBAP信令的收发、偶联关闭、对端在位检测、数据备份处理、偶联事件处理等。整个系统包含适配层、事务管理、SCTP偶联管理和内存管理四个子系统。其中,适配层实现了双栈链路的管理功能;事务管理子系统进行系统的管理及维护工作;SCTP偶联管理子系统处理偶联相关工作;内存管理子系统处理系统内存资源分配及回收等空间管理工作。为进一步提高系统的工作效率,在适配层子系统的实现中,针对双栈链路系统运行时的不同特性,引入堆排序和二分查找进行优化。此外,进一步分析了SCTP协议的特点,并探讨了优化的可能性。本系统的设计和实现工作都由本人单独完成,最终实现了NBAP信令在IP网络中的传输,经公司系统测试部的集成测试验证,系统高效稳定运行,达到预期目标。

【Abstract】 UTRAN, a novel access network, is the most widely applied access method in UMTS. ATM and IP are two transmitting ways in UTRAN, wherein the IP-based UTRAN has the advantages of high efficient network resource usage, saves operating cost, satisfies low price requirement of IP network device caused by Internet and Intranet, and meets the all-IP trend, thereby UTRAN is a top research direction currently.Estimating the potential marketing benefit of the IP UTRAN, Potevio has be developing 3G base-station productions with IP UTRAN. Iub interface is a logic interface between the base-station and the RNC, the traditional Iub interface employs ATM, IP-based Iub interface is developed for IP-UTRAN. Hence a NBAP signaling communication system based on IP UTRAN needs to be developed.This paper describes a NBAP signaling communication system based on IP UTRAN, which implements network transmission of Iub interface. The system includes link management on dual stack, SCTP parameter configuration, association establishment, sending and receiving of NBAP signals, association closure, peer online detection, data backup, association event process etc, while the whole system is divided into four subsystems: adaptive layer, transition management, SCTP association management and memory management, wherein the adaptive layer subsystem manages the dual-stack links, the transition management subsystem manages and maintains the system, SCTP association management subsystem processes related work of association and memory management subsystem deals with memory allocation and recycle.To improve further efficiency, heap sort and binary search are imported for optimization for difference of dual-stack link in run time in the adaptive subsystem. Moreover, SCTP protocol features are explored and the optimization possibilities are discussed.Our system implements NBAP transmission in IP network, after the integration testing verification by the system testing department in my cooperation, the system runs efficiently and stably, which achieve the desired objective.
