加速PC存储系统的新方案研究

【摘要】 PC机是以其低廉的价格、灵活的架构、不错的性能被人们广泛地应用在各行各业中。近十几年来,PC机性能飞速发展。但是PC机重要的存储部件——硬盘的性能发展速度缓慢。而人们对存储需求从容量和速度上的需求越来越大,现有的存储系统面临着挑战。如何有效地加速存储,使之跟上PC机发展的脚步,是我们现在面临的紧迫课题。本文通过分析PC存储性能问题,在现有技术的基础上研究如何改进存储性能,提出加速存储的设计原则,根据现有的三个方案提出一个以固态盘为核心的新方案,最后对新旧方案进行测试实验并对比各个方案。本文以JMF602为存储主控芯片,以闪存芯片K9GAG08U0M为存储芯片,构成一个高性价比的简易固态盘。利用两个简易固态盘的RAID0阵列构成PC机存储系统的主盘,再次提高了存储性能。利用原有的普通硬盘作为PC机存储系统的辅助盘,补充了主盘容量的不足。利用RAMDISK技术虚拟一个速度更快的内存盘,解决简易固态盘内部没有CACHE和闪存芯片写次数有限的问题。整个存储方案针对普通固态盘成本高、容量不足、技术复杂等问题提出的。通过测试实验表明,本文提出的方案使PC机存储系统性能提高17.5%,瓶颈问题得到改善。

【Abstract】 PC is widely used in all works because it is low cost, flexible structure, good performance. Over the last decade, PC performance is rapidly developing. But the most important of PC memory components -the hard disk develop slowly on the performance. People’s need of storage both capacity and speed is growing, the existing storage systems facing challenges. How to effectively speed up the store, and how to make it keep up with the development of PC, it is the urgent task.In this paper, by analyzing the performance of PC memory problems and how to improve storage performance in the existing technology on the basis of research on, I argue the principles of how to design a faster storage, a new storage program based on a solid-state disk by using the existing three storage program, and the compare of performance test between the old programs and the new.The cheap and best performance solid-state disk is base on the main control chip-JMF602, and the flash memory chips-K9GAG08U0M. Because two solid-state disks are made RAID0 to a PC’s main drive disk, the performance of storage is raised. By using the original hard disk as a supporting drive, storage system’s capacity is large. By using RAMDISK the technology of virtual memory, a faster disk, the problem of SSD no CACHE and the limit of write number times is solute. In this paper, the storage solution base on the current SSD problem as high cost、the lack of capacity and complicate technology.The performance tests show that the PC storage system accelerat 17.5%, the bottlenecks is improved.
