清末四川留日学生与四川教育近代化

【摘要】 甲午之败,马关之辱,强烈地震撼了国人的心,使中华民族痛心疾首,严重的民族危机唤醒了国人的民族意识和发奋图强的爱国精神,广大爱国学子纷纷负笈东渡,以“求学”为良药,形成了清末声势浩大的赴日留学热潮。僻处腹地,历来闭塞的四川,留日也蔚为风气,出现了四川留日学生这一群体。四川留日学生学成归国后,利用所学知识在政治、经济、文化等方面实行变革,尤其是在教育方面,留日学生作出了重要贡献,推进了四川教育近代化的进程。探讨清末四川留日学生与四川教育近代化的关系,不仅具有理论价值,而且也具有一定的实践意义。全文共分为五个部分:前言介绍了本论文的选题缘由,对前人的研究成果进行了综述,在此基础上指出了以往研究的不足,并概要性地介绍了本论文的研究思路和研究方法。正文第一部分梳理了清末四川留日学生产生的历史背景及发展阶段。从四个方面阐述了清末四川留日学生产生的历史背景和原因,并按照留日学生的人数变化,对其发展阶段进行了划分。正文第二部分分析了清末四川留日学生的特点。从人数众多,“男多女少”;专业广泛,特色突出;“乡结”浓重,回归者众;自费生多,完成学业者不到一半等四个方面对留日学生的特点进行了剖析,以展现留日学生的客观面貌。正文第三部分探讨了清末四川留日学生对四川教育近代化作出的贡献。从创办一系列新式学校,完善四川近代教育体制;执教各级各类学校,提高教师队伍整体素质;主持教育行政事务,推动四川教育改革深入进行等六个方面进行了阐释,从而佐证留日学生对推进四川教育近代化这一进程的重要作用。正文第四部分是全文的总结部分。在梳理历史事实,总结历史经验教训的基础上,对当时的留日教育进行了评价和思考,以期为当今的留学教育提供一定借鉴。

【Abstract】 After the Sino-Japanese war, China was defeated and was forced to sign one inequal treaty which convulsed many Chinese’s hearts and encouraged them to strive for the country’s stronger. Upon that,many patriotic students went eastward to Japan where started the new epoch of studying abroad. Sichuan province whose position is in hinterland and where people is occlusive long long ago also had many students to go to Japan and returned students from Japan of Sichuan province becomed one colony. After students from Japan of Sichuan province returned,they used what they had learned to carry out revolution in politic,economy and cuIture.EspeciaIly,these students made particular contribition in education field and accelerated the process of educational modernization in Sichuan. Studying on the relavation between returned students from Japan of Sichuan province in the late qing dynasty and modernization of Sichuan’s education, not only has it the theoretical value, but also has some practical worthiness.This dissertation consiists 5 parts:The preface introduces the reason in selecting topic of this dissertation, sums up the ancient research production and then, on the basis of this, points out the shortage of ancient studies and the innovation of this study, and explains the thinking and method of this study mainly.The first part cards the background and developed phases of returned students from Japan of Sichuan province in the late qing dynasty. This part analyzes the backgrounds and reasons of returned students from Japan of Sichuan province in the late qing dynasty in four aspects and compartmentalizes the developed phases into three accordding to the number of the students.The second part analyzes the characteristic of returned students from Japan of sichuan province in the late Qing dynasty.this.This part takes apart the characteristics of the students in four aspects.The third part discusses the contributions in the educational modernization in Sichuan of the. students in the late Qing dynasty.Then,this part analyzes the contributions of the students in six aspects. The fourth part which is also the last part of this dissertation is the part of summing up. Based on the historical facts and experiences, this part appraises and thinks about the education of going abroad and hopes that it can provide some use for reference.
