LD泵浦高功率掺镱(Yb3+)双包层光纤激光器理论与实验研究

【摘要】 激光二极管泵浦掺Yb3+双包层光纤激光器及相关的理论和技术是目前光纤激光器领域的一个重要的研究方向。本论文报告对LD泵浦的掺Yb3+光纤激光器所做初步理论研究并得出实验研究结果,概述了目前双包层光纤激光器的分类及国内外研究情况;分析了双包层光纤激光器的基本结构和工作原理及Yb3+独特的能级结构和光谱结构,并对Yb3+准四能级特性以及强泵浦的掺Yb3+的双包层光纤激光器进行了理论方面的研究,验证了阈值关系表达式和输出功率解析表达式。本论文注重对双包层光纤激光器实验参数进行理论优化,分析不同泵浦功率下、激光输出功率与实验参数间的关系,综合分析得出实验中的最佳光纤长度和最佳后腔镜反射率。本论文的实验部分采用典型F-P腔掺Yb3+双包层光纤激光器的实验装置,对掺Yb3+光纤激光器的输出特性进行了详细的实验研究,并在975nm激光二极管尾纤输出功率160W泵浦下,获得中心波长为1082.4nm、输出功率88W的激光、激光斜效率达到83%、光光转化效率为55%的实验结果。

【Abstract】 The research of laser diode( LD) pumped Yb3+-doped double-clad fiber lasers (DCFLs) is an important area of laser technology.In this dissertation, the theoretical and experimental studies of Yb3+-DCFLs are presented. Firstly, the historical developments,the new achievements of DCFLs are introduced. The basic structure and principle of fiber lasers,the specific energy levels and fluorescence spectrum of Yb3+are discussed.Secondly,the characteristics of quasi-four-level and the strongly pumped Yb3+-DCFLs are investigated theoretically. The formulas of the threshold pump power and output power of Yb3+-DCFLs have been obtained.The experimental parameters of Yb3+-DCFLs is studied using numerical calculation .It is shown the best parameters for high power fiber lasers, after analysis the relationship of output power with experimental parameters under different pump power.Yb3+-DCFLs with Fabry-Perot laser cavity are studied experimentally. The output laser power of 88W was obtained when the pump power from LD was 160 W. The slope efficiency and the optical to optical conversion efficiency are 83% and 55%, respectively.
