新型场致发射显示器测试技术的研究

【摘要】 平板显示测试技术是显示技术领域的一个研究热点。本文提出了场致发射显示器(FED)整机参数和FED显示屏像元的光电特性的测试方法、测试参量、测试步骤和测试信号,建立了场致发射显示器(FED)整机参数和FED显示屏像元的光电特性的测试系统,包括测试仪器设备、信号源和供电电源。本文详细对比分析了CRT、LCD、PDP和LED等显示器测量参量,归纳总结了各种显示器的特性参量、测试方法、测试信号、测试步骤和测试仪器设备。在分析讨论了FED像元的电学、光学特性及整机性能之后,借鉴国内外各种显示器件的测量标准,结合FED自身特性,确定FED测量参量,提出了FED整机参数和FED显示屏像元的光电特性的测试方法、测试步骤和测试信号,并建立了可供参考的FED显示器参数的测试技术和评估方法。根据所提出的FED整机和显示屏参数的测试方法,建立FED整机参数和FED显示屏像元的光电特性的测试系统,包括测试仪器设备、信号源和供电电源,实际测试了本实验室制作25英寸彩色FED显示器。测试结果表明,本实验室研制的25英寸彩色FED显示器样机能显示彩色VGA视频图像,亮度达400cd/m2,对比度为1000:1,电路灰度等级256级。此外,论文从场致发射原理和人眼视觉特性出发,介绍了FED显示屏的显示原理和脉冲宽度调制原理(PWM),分析了FED采用PWM工作方式的原因,PWM工作方式实现彩色FED显示的驱动原理,还有目前本实验室FED样机所采用的两种PWM方案。

【Abstract】 Flat panel display (FPD) test technology is a hot subject among display field. This paper puts forward FED parameters and test methods, parameters, steps and signals for photoelectric characteristic of panel units. Also, test systems including test instruments, signal sources and supply power for FED parameters and photoelectric characteristic of panel units.Test parameters of each display including CRT, LCD, PDP and LED were compared with and analyzed in detail. Photoelectric characteristics of panel unit of FED were analyzed. Emphases were put on transferring the key parameters of FED into themes that can be tested in practical by learning the display test standards from both domestic and abroad. The author analyzed test signals and steps of each display test standard, and drew the meaningful contents for FED tests. Finally, test technologies and evaluation methods were creatively established.The test standards and evaluation methods were verified by lab-made 25 inch FED panel. The results show that 25 inch color FED sample has been fabricated in our lab can display video image and obtain its brightness about 400cd/m2,contrast ratio 1000:1,256 circuit gray scales.This paper also introduces the following contents according to principle of field emission and Human Visual System (HVS): The display principle of FED panel and Pulse Width Modulation (PWM), the reason why PWM was used in FED system, driving method of PWM and two PWM methods used in present FED sample.
