【摘要】 美籍华人女作家於梨华几十年来著作颇丰，在表现海外华人题材的这个领域做出了不可磨灭的贡献。我们大陆文学界对她的研究已取得了一定成就，但是多局限在她的前期创作上。本文将视线放在作家迄今为止所有的代表性作品中，试图从“根”这个角度，沿着失根——恋根——寻根这条主线，全面整体把握作家的创作精髓。将作家几十年来创作主题的变化，风格的变化写出来，以此映照文学与历史与时代的关系。在曾经动荡的社会中，在这个全球化开放的背景下，在中西文化的夹缝中，这个特殊群体如何定位自己的身份和地位，如何应对这种冲突和挑战，都是我所努力表达的内容。透过分析这些作品，以便准确地定位作家的文学史地位。 本文主体分为三个部分： 第一部分：困惑挣扎中的失根。在这个时期的作品中，作家将海外华人如何在异域感受到“失根”的过程写了出来，着重表现了人物在变动的环境中所感受到的压力，以及在时代的发展中个体难以把握命运的痛苦。 第二部分：痛定思痛后的恋根。在经历了“失根”的苦痛之后，作家已经发现自己的根在中国，于是满怀期望地重返故乡寻找。此时的作品中表现了一个海外华人对祖国之根的深深依恋之情。 第三部分：异质文化环境中的寻根。随着时代的发展，海外华人发现祖国之根并不能全面地解释他们目前的处境，并不能给他们的身份和价值一个很好的解释，所以他们仍然很迷茫，仍然处在不断的寻找过程中。此时作家已经能够超脱两种文化的差异，站在一个比较高的位置看待人性中的普遍性：善与恶，悲与喜等等。更多还原

【Abstract】 Lihua Yu, anU.S. Citizen author who is Chinese by birth come to work for several decades rather plentiful, the contribution can’t be obliterated at expressing the realm of overseas Chinese people’s subject. We Chinese outback literature field’s research to hers have already obtained certain achievement, but localized much at her earlier stage works. This paper puts view in all works of the writer up to the present, I try from the angle " root", write along the main line lose a root-love a root-search for a root, grasp the works’ essence of the writer roundly and integrally. Write out the variety of subject, the variety of style for several decades, shining upon the relationship between literature and society. In the ever turbulent society, under the globalization background, and in the crevice between Chinese and western culture, this special community how position own identity and position, how reply this kind of conflict and challenge, is all contents that I express hard. Through analyzing these works, in order to position the literary history position of writer accurately.This paper includes three parts:The first part: Losing a root in confusion and struggle. In the works of this period, the writer wrote to come out that overseas Chinese people how feel in the foreign country the process of losing a root", emphasizing to express persons felt the pressure in the fluctuation of the environment, and the pain that the individual was hard to hold destiny in the development of ages.The second part: After recalling and learning from painful experience of loving a root.
