BiCMOS电流型脉宽调制器的研究与设计

【摘要】 本课题来源于西安微电子技术研究所“基于BiCMOS工艺低功耗电源管理类专用集成电路的研究与设计”。主要完成了基于BiCMOS工艺电流型脉冲宽度调制电路的系统设计以及各个单元模块电路的设计和实现。该电流型脉宽调制电路具有以下主要特性:500μA超低工作电流和100μA超低启动电流;芯片内部具有软启动和故障重启动功能;最小占空比和最大占空比分别为0和100%;振荡器频率最高可达1MHz;参考电压精度为1.5%;内部具有100ns的脉冲前沿消隐电路;欠电压封锁功能;图腾柱输出电路,峰值电流可达±1A。论文首先介绍了开关电源的几种分类及其各种类型的工作原理,详细论述了电压型和电流型脉宽调制器电路的原理及其优缺点,并对电流型PWM中的斜波补偿技术进行了理论推导。然后详细论述了主要模块电路的工作原理、具体电路实现形式及仿真验证,尤其对采用折叠共源共栅结构的误差放大器电路进行了详细的分析和研究。本电路采用0.6μm BiCMOS工艺模型在Cadence工作站上,使用SpectureS和Hspice等EDA仿真工具对其各个模块进行功能仿真验证,并对个别关键模块进行了具体参数的仿真验证,最后搭建了总体电路,仿真结果表明该电路实现了脉宽调制的功能,各项性能指标达到了预期的设计要求,完成了低电流、低功耗、高集成度电流型脉宽调制电路。本文最后还讨论了该电路在开关电源中的多种典型应用电路。
【Abstract】 The thesis is based on the project“Research and Design of low voltage power supply management IC based on BiCMOS process”by Xi’an Microelectronics technology research institute. It mainly implements current mode pulse width modulator which incorporates systematic design as well as each concrete module subcircuit study and design.The current mode control PWM contained several innovative features, such as: 500μA very low start-up current and 100μA operating current; Internal soft start and full cycle restart after fault; 0 minimum duty cycle and 100% maximum duty cycle; 100ns Leading Edge Blanking circuit has been built into IC; under voltage lockout function; Totem-Pole output has high current amplitude.At first, the thesis introduces the kinds of switched power and the principle of each kind. It has detailedly discussed the principles, advantages and disadvantages of current mode control PWM, and then, the theory of slope compensation is derivated in current mode control PWM. Moreover, the detailed analysis of mainly subcircuit is made, including principle,concrete circuit , simulation and verification, especially on folded Cascode error amplifier.This IC adopted 0.6μm BiCMOS process model on the Cadence workstation. By using several advanced EDA software, such as spectures and Hspice etc. The author has finished simulation and verification every subcircuit, and a few important electrical parameter and characteristic. According to design requirement, it eventually implemented low current, low power, high density current mode pulse width modulator. At last, the thesis introduces practical application circuit in the switched power supply.
