新一代静止图像压缩算法JPEG2000的研究与实现

【摘要】 JPEG2000正在逐渐成为业界数据压缩的主流技术之一。作为新一代静态图像压缩标准的JPEG2000,如今已被认为是互联网和无线接入应用的理想影像编码解决方案,其在各个方面都明显优于传统的静止图像压缩算法。本文首先简要介绍了JPEG2000标准的原理和优越性,以及小波变换原理。接着详细叙述JPEG2000的关键技术小波变换和EZW编码算法,利用提升方案实现的第二代小波对图像进行小波变换,并分别举例说明小波变换和EZW算法的实现过程。最后使用C++语言实现小波变换和EZW算法,并在TMS320C6701开发板上仿真,根据本文程序可以实时进行图像的编码—解码。利用本文程序只要对woman图像进行5次编码一解码,就可以得到质量很高的重构图像,压缩比达到25:1。

【Abstract】 JPEG2000 is becoming one of primary techniques of data compression gradually. Now JPEG2000 as a standard of new static image compression, is deemed to a perfect resolvent of image coding which is applied in Internet and Wireless: connect, and it distinctly precedes traditional static image compression arithmetic at various aspect. In this text, we summarily present the theory and advantages of JPEG2000 and wavelet transform theory firstly. Secondly we particularly depict JPEG2000’ s key technique which is wavelet transform and EZW coding arithmetic, and do wavelet transform with second wavelet which is realization by lifting scheme. And we illuminate the process of wavelet transform and EZW arithmetic with two examples. At last we achieve wavelet transform and EZW arithmetic using C++ language, according to this program we can accomplish image’ s coding and decoding with TMS320C6701 real time. Through five times code and decode with this program, we can obtain good quality retrieval image and it’ s compression proportion reaches 25:1.
