MPEG-1音频第Ⅲ层编码器的研究与设计

【摘要】 MPEG-1音频第Ⅲ层(MP3)编码是数字音频压缩领域中一个重要的研究方向。本文讨论了基于数字信号处理器(DSP)的MP3实时编码器系统方案,主要的研究内容包括MP3编码器系统方案的选择、音频压缩算法和MP3实时编码器系统方案的设计。 本文首先对基于多片与单片DSP的MP3实时编码器方案进行了分析对比,提出了基于单片高性能DSP(TMS320VC5502)的MP3实时编码器方案。接着研究了音频压缩算法,重点讨论了其中的三个主要部分,即子带滤波器组和修正离散余弦变换、心理声学模型、量化与编码。然后以TMS320VC5502芯片为核心处理器设计了一个MP3实时编码器。它的主要工作流程为:先用音频编解码器对音频信号进行采样得到数字音频信号,然后用DSP对数字音频信号进行MP3压缩编码并送入双口RAM,最后通过PCI总线将压缩编码后的MP3数据帧实时传送给PC机。最后,本文还对高速印刷电路板(PCB)设计的一些基本规则进行了探讨。

【Abstract】 MPEG-1 audio layer III (MP3) coding is one of very important aspects in digital audio compression field. This thesis discussed a scheme of MP3 real-time coder system. Main works include the selection of MP3 coder scheme, audio compression algorithm and the design of MP3 real-time coder scheme.Firstly, two kinds of MP3 coder scheme, which apply one or more digital signal processors (DSPs) to MP3 coding respectively, was analyzed and compared. And a MP3 coder scheme based on one high-performance DSP was proposed. Secondly three major aspects of audio compression algorithm were analyzed. Those aspects are subband filter bank and modified discrete cosine transform (MDCT), psychoacoustic model, quantification and coding. Thirdly, the design of MP3 real-time coder based on TMS320VC5502 was presented. The coding flow including analog audio signal sampling and PCM coding using CODEC, MP3 coding of digital audio signal using DSP, MP3 compressed data frame transmission to personal computer (PC) using Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) bus. Moreover, some basic rules of high-speed printed circuit board (PCB) design were discussed.
