巴赞在中国

The Influence of Bazin on Chinese Movies

【摘要】 法国电影理论家安德烈·巴赞不仅对世界电影产生了深刻的影响,而且对中国电影理论和创作实践也影响深远。长期以来,中国电影界对巴赞进行了广泛而深入的研究。然而,这些研究一直没有得到系统地梳理。我写本文的目的就是试图完成这一工作。 本文共分五个部分,除去引言与附录,其它三个部分以历史流程为线索,依次展开描述。 在引言部分,本文概要地介绍了巴赞的生平、理论体系以及他在世界电影理论史以及世界电影史中的地位与重要性。 在第一部分,本文描述了中国二十世纪五、六十年代对巴赞及其相关流派——意大利新现实主义和法国“新浪潮”——的初步认识,论述了中国原本是有条件在这个时期更多地了解巴赞的,但是由于意识形态以及其它方面的原因,中国与世界电影理论接轨的努力被中断。 在第二部分,本文分前后两个时期描述了中国二十世纪八十年代对巴赞理论的完整引进、对国外巴赞研究文章的翻译、国内对巴赞理论的消化接受与批判,以及巴赞对这一时期电影创作的影响。这一时期是巴赞在中国最被看重的时期,有关他的研究文章纷繁涌现,前半期以赞扬为主,后半期以批判为主。 在第三部分,本文描述了中国电影界自二十世纪九十年代以来,在电影理论被冷落的背景下,仍然坚持对巴赞的研究工作,并且找到了新的研究课题。特别是一个关于在数字化时代如何重新阐述巴赞理论的话题,显得十分有意义。巴赞尽管早已成为多元化中的一元,还是对这一时期的电影创作产生了不小的影响。 在附录部分,本文描述了在巴赞对中国电影产生影响之前,中国电影创作中已经出现的独立发展的长镜头手法。这样的事实丝毫动摇不了巴赞的地位,并且这种长镜头也与巴赞主张的长镜头不甚相同。 全文共计六万一千余字。

【Abstract】 Andre Bazin, the famous French flim theorist, had far-flung influence on not only the world movies, but also the Chinese filmic theories and practice. There had been wide and deep studies on Bazin of the Chinese film circles for a long time. However, these productions had not been sorted out in order. So I am trying to finish this work through this dissertation.The dissertation consists of five parts. Besides the introduction and the appendix, another three parts describe the Bazin’s influence on Chinese movies in turn according to historical clues.The introduction introduces Bazin’s resume, system of his theory and his status and significance in academic history and developmental history of the international movies briefly.The first part describes elementary cognition on Bazin and correlative filmic genres of the Chinese films circles, which are Nee-Realism in Italy and the New Wave in France in 1950s and 1960s. China should have possibility to know Bazin further at that time. Unfortunately, because of ideology and some other factors, the effort of the Chinese circles to joint with international filmic theory had been cut off.In the second part, I used two periods to describe the integrated introduction about the Bazin’s theory of the Chinese film circles, and the translation of the foreign studies on Bazin and the digestion and acceptance and the criticism of the Bazin’s theory of the Chinese film circles in 1980s. Besides those above, I also describe the influence of Bazin on the film creation of this period. Bazin was thought much of by the Chinese circles in this period. The articles on Bazin emerged on a large scale. In the preceding half period, praise was dominating among these comments. In the other half period, criticisn took the place of praise.The third part describes the insistent study on Bazin under the background which filmic theory study was snubbed after 1990s of the Chinese circles. Furthermore, they had found new research subjects. Among them, one subject had showed great significance on how to explain Bazin’s theory afresh in the digital age. Though Bazin’s theory had become one element among many elements already, it still had great influence on Chinese filmic practice in this period.The appendix describes long-shot technique independent developments in Chinese filmic practice before the influence of Bazin. But it cannot strike Bazin’s status. And the long-shot technique isn’t the same as that of Bazin advocated.There are more than sixty-one thousand words in all.
