全固态准连续可调谐钛宝石激光器及其泵浦的PPLN-OPO之研究

【摘要】 本文主要介绍了针对国家自然科学基金《宽带输出的钛宝石—PPLN内腔光学参量振荡器》和天津市应用基础研究计划项目《波长调谐钛宝石—PPLN光学参量振荡器》这两个课题所做的一些工作。可调谐宽带光源在光通讯、光动力学、光计算、环境监测、光学相干层析成像、激光遥感、激光雷达以及光谱学研究等许多重要领域都有着非常广泛的应用。比如可以作为光通讯波分复用系统中的信号源、信号转换器或放大器;在环境监测方面,可调谐光源输出的多种波长可满足大气窗口条件,能够穿过各种气候条件下的大气,以此来获得优化的信噪比,进行高精度大气成分检测。为此,国内外对可调谐激光的研究高度重视,其发展日新月异,成为激光技术领域中最为活跃的课题之一。本文主要进行了以下的研究和实验:研究高功率LD泵浦的准连续内腔倍频Nd: YAG激光器。研究内腔倍频激光器的基本理论和谐振腔设计,实现激光器高转换效率、高光束质量和高稳定性运转。研究准连续全固态钛宝石激光器。将准连续全固态内腔倍频Nd: YAG激光器作为泵浦源泵浦Ti: sapphire激光器,研究泵浦光偏振特性、泵浦光脉宽、以及工作温度等对输出特性的影响,合理选择谐振腔腔型,得到高功率、高光束质量的钛宝石可调谐激光输出。目前,我们已经实现了4.7W的钛宝石激光输出。研究准相位匹配的波长调谐钛宝石—PPLN光学参量振荡器。从准相位匹配的相位匹配条件出发,研究PPLN-OPO的波长调谐特性,选取适当的泵浦波长和极化周期,满足钛宝石中心波长(795nm)附近最大范围内的PPLN—OPO输出。

【Abstract】 The job discussed in this thesis has been done for Broadband Output Intracavity Optical Parametric Oscillator(OPO) with Ti:saphire-PPLN supported by China National Science Foundation and Pump Wavelength-tuned Optical Parametric Oscillator with Ti:saphire-PPLN, one of Tianjin Foundation Research Projects for Application. Tunable broadband light source has been applied for kinds of important fields, such as optical communication, photodynamic, optical computing, environmental monitoring and surveillance, optical coherence tomography, laser remote sensing technique, laser radar and spectroscopy. It could work in WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplex) system of optical communication as signal source, signal converter or amplifier. For environment monitoring and surveillance, multi-wavelength from tunable source could meet the atmospheric window condition and pass through the atmosphere under kinds of condition in order to optimize the SNR (signal-to-noise ratio) and detect the components in atmosphere with high degree of accuracy. So scientists and engineers all over the world are always focusing on the researches in tunable laser. With rapid development, tunable laser technique becomes one of the most active aspects in laser technique. The main achievements in this thesis are shown as below:Study on high power, QCW, intracavity frequency-doubled Nd: YAG laser pumped by LD. Discuss on the basic principles of intracavity frequency-doubled laser and the design of oscillate cavity. Achieve the operation with high conversion efficiency, high light quality and high stability. Study all solid state, QCW Ti: sapphire laser. Use all solid state, QCW, intracavity frequency-doubled Nd: YAG laser as the pump source. Study the output characters with the polarization and the width of pump light, the width of pump and operation temperature. Acquire high output power, high light quality Ti: sapphire laser with suitable oscillate cavity. Now the maximum output power is 4.7W, which is the highest index in China. Study on QMP (quasi-phase-matched), pump wavelength-tuned OPO with Ti: sapphire-PPLN. Under the phase match condition of QPM, study the characters <WP=4>of PPLN-OPO pumped by tunable laser. Obtain the maximum scale PPLN-OPO output with suitable pump wavelength and poled period.
