新型激光晶体Nd:GdVO4的研究

【摘要】 大功率激光二极管的出现以及迅猛发展,为研究新的激光晶体提供了条件。Nd:GdVO。晶体就是在这种背景下发现的一种新型激光晶体材料。文中介绍了激光晶体研究的最新动向以及Nd:GdVO。晶体的研究进展。 GdVO。晶体属于四方晶系,具有锆英石结构,空间群为D强一14。/amd,根据文献选择了工艺参数一转速lOr.p.m,拉速2mm/h,用Czochralski法成功的生长出了具有不同掺杂浓度的Nd:GdVO。单晶。用电感耦合等离子体原子发射光谱法测定了Nd。’离子在GdV0。晶体中的浓度,据此计算了有效分凝系数,其值为0.74,适于高浓度掺杂。同时用化学浸蚀法观测到了晶体的位错蚀坑,计算了位错密度,发现退火后晶体的位错密度有所减少。 测量了Nd:GdVO。晶体的吸收光谱,在808nm附近有一很宽的吸收带,十分适合用808nm激光二极管激发,确定了Nd。+离子的能级分布,并计算了Nd3+的吸收截面为3.261×10叫。cm2。在Nd:gdVO。晶体的荧光谱中,能够观测到4个荧光峰,其中1064nm的发光最强,值得注意的是在912.4nm处的荧光也较强,倍频后可以得到456nm的深蓝色激光。Nd离子在1064nm处的发射截面为9.283×lO-柏cm’。 对Nd:OdVO。晶体进行了激光实验。发现Nd:gdVO。晶体的斜效率要远高于Nd:YVO。晶体,最高的达到47.3%,而且随着泵浦功率的增加,晶体的激光斜效率也在增加,非常适合于用在中高功率的激光器件中。

【Abstract】 It i s that the emergence and fast development of the high power laser diode provided terms for researching new laser crystals.Nd:GdV04 is a material of new laser crystal that been discovered under this kind of background.In this text,it introduced the latest research trend for laser crystals and the development progress of Nd:GdV04 crystal.GdV04 crystal belongs tO tetragonal system,has zircon structure, space group is D 419^一14l/amd.According to the cultural heritages,a series of different Nd针ion-doped concentrations GdV04 single crystals were grown by Czochralski method with technique parameters---’pulling rate was 2mm/h,rotation rate was fOr.P.m.The Nd。’ions concentrations were obtained by ICP-AES method,the efficient distribution coefficient of Nd针was calculated according to it.Its value was 0.74,SO it can be doped with high concentrations.At the salile time,chemical etching techniques were used to reveal the dislocation structure of crystals,the dislocation density was counted,and has been founded that dislocation reduced by anneal ing.Absorption spectra of Nd:GdV04 were measured at room temperature. It has a wide absorption band near 808nm,SO it is fit to be pumped by 808nm LD,And the energy level distribution of the Nd针ions in GdV04 were confirmed,Nd absorption cross section was 3.261×i0一。。cm。。Four peaks can be observed in the fluorescence spectra,the intensity of 1064nm luminescence was the strongest among them.Worthy of remark specially is that the stronger fluorescent line at 912.4nm,it can be achieved high blue laser at 456nm after double frequency.The emission section was 9.283×10一。。cm。at 1064nm.Laser performance was tested by LD.The slope efficiency of Nd:GdV04 crystal was much hi gher than Nd:YV04 at the same condi t i ons,and even the highest value was up to 47.3%.Along with the enhancement of pump power,the crystal’S laser slope efficiency was increased too.It is fit to be applied to high power lasers.
