【摘要】 城市形象与特色设计，是对物质形象进行视觉化艺术构思，对城市形象在视觉审美意义上进行综合处理的艺术设计，城市形象是城市内在属性的外在表现，对于特色来说，形象是单元、要素，是特色的组成部分，形象要素构成了城市特色。这是本质与现象，内涵与外延，相互制约，互为存在的矛盾统一体。本文希冀能从艺术设计的角度切入城市规划建设。在对城市文化的深层思考上，以整体的艺术设计，或称之为“艺术规划设计”，来创造美好的城市形象，形成个性鲜明的城市特色，提高其审美价值。城市个性和特色是城市发展到一定阶段和水平的必然追求，是城市在全球化背景下竞争的有力武器之一。我国经历了几千年的封建社会，曾处于封建社会的高级阶段。经过艰苦过渡，国家逐步工业化，现处于社会主义初级阶段由于经济不够发达，没有相关的经验，在城市化过程中所引起的综合症状也表露无遗。在“温饱型”向“舒适生态、健康型”过渡中，形象和特色尤为突出。 特色不突出、不鲜明现象已经不同程度侵蚀着我国包括北京、上海在内的大城市以及数百个中小城市，为了让原有的美丽城市不失去特色，让新兴的城市不仅“够用、好用、耐用”而且“够看、好看、耐看”，每个城市应根据自身不同的自然地理、人文、内涵，确定城市景观目标，建设不可替代的城市形象。加速引入文化理念和艺术设计，将中国城市景观艺术与建设纳入一个科学有序的系统。城市视觉形态是一种特殊而且相当新的设计问题。本文将环境艺术设计的思维方法、设计手段纳入城市形象与特色的整体运作中。用艺术设计的观点去审视城市规划建设的全过程。希望能在物质空间、人文精神、构成上对城市艺术风貌有一个主动的把握。使城市形象与特色上一改现代城市千城一面，建筑缺乏文化，无形象特色的局面。同时，它也会促使传统文化与地方民俗的崛起，使城市环境向着平衡的方向发展。 本文在写作过程中，采用系统论的观点和方法，注重理论研究与社会实践并重，在内容上安排如下： 第一部分是概念、观点部分，解决性质、范畴、立场、观念、审美及设计原则上的问题。突出城市形象、城市特色与城市设计。 第二部分是理论、方法部分。建构起城市形象与特色设计的理论框架，分析某构成结构及设计要素关系，并运用系统的方法使它们系统地运用到城市中来。 第三部分是艺术的设计、应用部分。它是在前面两部分基础上的实际操作过程。按照系统科学方法和视觉统一设计原理，根据不同城市自身的地域、风土、宗教和民俗特点，结合政治、经济、文化构成特色，塑造具有个性魅力的城市形象。更多还原

【Abstract】 The city image is the outward appearance of its (inner) prosperities. As far as feature is concerned, image is the unit, image is the essential element, and it is part of city characteristic. This is the combination of prosperity and phenomenon, of intension and extension, The design for a city is the artistic conception, which makes good plans for city image in sense of beauty. It is hoped to create a glorious impression to the public, and to form distinctive feature, and to enhance aesthetic value of a city.With the development of the city, distinctive feature is the inevitable outcome, and this is one of the most important factors in global competition. China has undergone feudalism for over thousands of gears, and once reached the most advanced stage of feudal society: After a long time of hard transition, the country was gradually industrialized. Now, China is at the elementary stage of socialism, its economy is not well developed, and lack of relating experience, As a result, the defect in designs is exposed during the process of urbanization.During the process writing, this book uses the systematic opinion and method, and lays stress on the same importance of theoretical research and social practice. The contents are arranged as follows:The first part is concept and opinion. It solves the problem of quality. Category . position. concept. aesthetic standards and design, especially city image. City characteristics and city design.The second part is theory and method. It builds the theoretical structure of city image and characteristic design, analysis some structure and the relationship between essential factors for design, and uses all of them into cities systematically in systematical ways.The third part is artistic design and application. It is the process of practical operation on the base of the two former parts. Using the theory of systematic scientific methods and visual unity, according to different cities’ classification, combining politics economy and culture.Our city design has a long history. It is the symbol and achievement of Chinese brilliant culture and has good effect on the building city image and caracterics will greatly promote city’s environmental creation, develop and deepen the outwall and intension.
