数字图书馆系统互操作问题解决方案研究

【摘要】 数字图书馆系统中存在的互操作问题是近年来国际数字图书馆界关注的焦点问题。数字图书馆系统依托于网络而存在,是为了解决当今因特网上存在的信息查找困难、异构系统间缺乏互操作性以及缺乏对大规模分布数据的操作机制等问题而产生的。创造一个良好的信息环境,提供对分布式存储的信息的知识化组织、智能化访问是数字图书馆系统建设的基本目标。为了实现这个基本目标,数字图书馆系统中的互操作问题就成为亟待研究和解决的课题。 本论文采用文献调查分析、网络资源分析、比较方法、个案研究与综合归纳等研究方法,从理论与实践两个方面对数字图书馆系统的互操作问题进行了研究。 本论文的主要研究内容包括:(1)对数字图书馆、数字图书馆系统、可互操作性、数字图书馆系统的可互操作性等概念进行剖析,从系统的角度研究互操作问题,指出数字图书馆系统体系结构的合理性是解决互操作问题的决定性因素;(2)通过对国内外有关数字图书馆系统互操作问题研究现状的分析以及主流分布式构件模型CORBA、COM/DCOM、JavaBean的比较分析,论文认为在互操作问题上应当采用以CORBA技术为主的解决方案;(3)对国外本领域采用CORBA技术实现的两个典型互操作解决方案进行分析,确定CORBA+Java是互操作问题最具潜力的解决方案;(4)融合CORBA和Java两种技术,设计了一个简单数字图书馆系统互操作模型SDLSIM(Simple Digital Library System Interoperability Model),并进行了初步的实验,最后指出了系统实施面临的困难。

【Abstract】 Interoperability in digital library system has drawn much attention of researchers in library science all over the world in recent years. Poor information retrieval, lack of interoperability between disparate systems and scarcity of manipulation mechanism of distributed data are the main problems in Internet. In order to solve these problems, digital library has been developed. Creating a favorable information environment, providing intelligent access to distributed data and making information ordered are the basic goals. To achieve all these goals, interoperability in digital library system must be settled.This thesis uses various methods, including document investigation and analysis, internet resource investigation and analysis, case study, synthesis, induce, etc., to study the problems related to interoperability in digital library system.This thesis includes: (1) After giving a concise discussion on following concepts, such as digital library, digital library system, interoperability, interoperability in digital library system, this thesis argues about interoperability from the systemic point of view. The crucial factor in interoperability is the rational architecture of digital library system; (2) By the analysis of research of interoperability in Digital Library System all over the world and the comparison of main distributed component model, such as CORBA, COM/DCOM, JavaBean, the conclusion is CORBA adept at interoperability in digital library system; (3) Through the analysis of two cases of CORBA application, this thesis confirms that CORBA + Java is a better method; (4) At last, SDLSIM (Simple Digital Library System Interoperability Model) is brought forward, in which CORBA and Java are applied. A few experiments are done, and the difficulties are pointed out.
