数字电视前端系统网络管理关键技术的研究

【摘要】 随着广播电视系统数字化的全面推进,数字电视网络的规模不断扩大。数字电视前端系统是数字电视网络的核心部分,负责完成数字电视信号的处理和交换,集中了许多关键性的设备。这些设备数量众多,生产商不同,采用的技术也存在差异,对这些设备进行有效的管理是网络建设必须解决的问题。网络建设初期的管理方式是在每台设备上实现独立的网管系统,但随着设备数量的增加,这种管理方式存在大量的冗余,因此,网络中所有设备的综合管理十分必要。综合网管基于SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol,简单网络管理协议),通过在服务器上实现网络管理进程,建立对全网设备的统一管理机制,为网络管理员提供分布式的服务,最大限度地提高了网络资源的利用率。然而,数字电视前端网络的综合管理面临着问题。第一,网络中包括了数字电视设备、路由、网关、服务器等众多设备,网络中数字电视设备网络拓扑的维护和设备状态的监控成为制约网络管理的关键问题。第二,网络中运行着不同厂商的设备,尽管它们大多数都支持SNMP协议,但在管理对象的定义和通信协议单元的设计上存在较大差异,不同厂商设备的统一管理成为影响系统兼容性和扩展性的关键问题。本文以数字电视前端系统及其网络管理的发展背景为切入点,首先对课题研究中所用到的相关技术进行了介绍。然后,研究了SNMP数字电视前端网络管理模型,根据数字电视前端系统的特性,进行了系统功能需求分析,并对网络管理中设备拓扑维护和设备兼容管理这两个关键问题进行了详细讨论,提出了MIB树生成算法和设备拓扑轮询解决方案;接下来,对网络管理软件进行模块化设计,规划为服务器管理、设备告警管理、第三方设备支持、设备解析器、数据库和前端显示六大模块,着重讨论了关键模块的设计思路,并结合网络管理关键问题的研究成功和软件设计方案,实现了网络管理站软件;最后,对论文工作做了全面的总结和展望。现阶段,课题的研究研发工作全面完成,且在现有的数字电视前端系统中完成了功能测试,在提高网络管理效率上成果显著。

【Abstract】 With the comprehensive digitalization of broadcasting and television systems, the scale of the digital television networks has been expanding. DTV front-end system which is the core part of the DTV network is responsible for the digital television signal’s processing and handshaking, which has focused a lot of critical devices. Due to the large amount of these devices, which are produced by different manufacturers, using discrepant technology, an effective management of these devices is urgently necessary for the network construction. An independent network management system was implemented on each device in the early stage of the network construction, but with the increasing number of devices, there causes a lot of redundancy in this way, therefore, the development of integrated network management is very necessary.Integrated network management that is SNMP-based (Simple Network Management Protocol) establishes the unified management mechanism for all the devices in the network through a network management process on the server. This provides distributed services for network administrators, maximizing the utilization of network resources.However, DTV front-end network management faces many problems. First, because the network includes digital television equipment, routers, gateways, server and many other elements, the maintenance of the DTV equipment network topology and the monitoring of the equipment status become key constraints of network management. Second, devices in the network are produced by different manufacturers, although most of them support the SNMP protocol, but there are large differences in the MIB object definition and the design of the PDUs, which become key constraints of the network management’s compatibility and scalability.The entry point in this paper is the background of development of DTV front-end system and its network management. First, introduce the related technologies used in the research. Next, do research on the DTV front-end network management model, carry out the system demand analysis based on the characteristics of the system and discuss the key issues including topology maintenance and compatible management for devices in the network management as well as offer MIB tree generation algorithms and solutions for device topology polling. Then, present modular design of the network management station software which is designed for six modules including server management, equipment alarm management, third-party device support, equipment parser, database and front-end display. What’s more, make detailed discussions on the design ideas for these modules, and develop the network management station software combined with solutions of the key issues and the software design. Finally, some comprehensive summary and outlook are given.At this stage, both research and development work for this subject has been completed, and finished functional testing in existing DTV front-end system, and gains significant achievements in improving the efficiency of network management.
