【摘要】 2008年的布克奖项评选中,时年33岁的印度青年作家阿拉文德·阿迪加(AravindAdiga)凭借其小说《白老虎》(The White Tiger)在最后的一轮竞争压倒知名爱尔兰作家巴斯蒂安·巴里与同胞阿米特瓦·高士,获得当年布克奖这一至高荣誉。自此,阿拉文德·阿迪加影响日盛,其原有作品进一步受到评论界的关注。阿迪加现有出版及发表的的作品中,大致可以分为两大部份:一部分是从事新闻工作期间所写的大量通讯、报道、时评、文学评论,作家作品介绍等;另一部分作品是在成为自由作家之后所著作的长篇小说《白老虎》(The White Tiger);短篇小说集《两次刺杀间》(Between The Assassinations);以及《拍击》(Smack)、《去年圣诞节在班德拉》(last Christmas In Bandra)等两篇没有收集入册的短篇小说。在现有国内外对其作品的研究中,大多数评论家仅从小说的的某些方面进行研究,缺乏系统。而对其新闻工作期间的作品研究更为匮乏,几乎一片空白。因此,阿拉文德·阿迪加的作品研究具有巨大的发展空间和研究潜力。作为对于阿拉文德·阿迪加的整体性研究,本文将以其虚拟叙事与现实叙事的两大部份作品为主要研究对象,在文本细读、立足作品的基础上,结合印度的经济、政治、文化等领域,力图对阿拉文德·阿迪加双重叙事角度所描绘与刻画的印度社会现状进行较为系统、全面的探究。本文在结构上分为四章。在第一章的绪论部份,笔者首先对印度的历史、地理、人文、社会文化特征等方面作一概要性梳理。同时还对阿拉文德·阿迪加的创作成长经历、创作作品、及其作品在国内外研究现状作出较全面性研究,并提出本论文的研究意义。本文在第二章的研究中,紧扣阿拉文德·阿迪加现实叙事作品,在前面三小节分别从印度的政治、经济、文化等领域对其作品中所描绘的印度社会现状加以分析。并在第四小节对阿迪加眼中的印度社会现状及其在作品中对印度社会现实的“呐喊”与“彷徨”加以分析。本文在第三章的研究中,结合朱国华所指出权力现象的两方面表现及权力特征,立足于阿迪加虚拟叙事作品,在前三小节中分别分析阿迪加虚拟叙事作品中所构筑的印度社会现实中的政治、经济、文化等领域的权力堡垒。并在第四小节对阿迪加本人及作品中对印度社会现实的“解剖”与“追问”加以分析。在第四章的研究中,本文结合全球化大背景与后殖民主义理论,分别对阿迪加现实叙事与虚拟叙事的作品加以解读。在现实叙事的作品解读中,结合印度的发展现实及全球化背景,本文重点探究了阿迪加作品中所描绘的印度经济、政治“悖论”现实的原因所在。在虚拟叙事的作品解读中,本文从后殖民理论的“生态批评”与“文化身份”等角度,对阿迪加作品中所体现出的后殖民主义思想与意识加以解读。最后,本文在结语部分对论文进行整体性总结。阿迪加的作品不仅有着重要的认识价值,其艺术上取得的诸多成就还有重要的审美价值。

【Abstract】 The yong Indian writer Aravind Adiga at the age of33won the Booker Prize withhis novel The White Tiger that overwhelmed the prestigious Irish writter in the finalround competition in2008.Since then, Aravind Adiga become very popular and drewcritics’ attention to his other works. His existing published and delivered works can bedivided into two parts roughly. One part consists of a large amount ofcommunications, reports, editorials, literature reviews and introduction of authors andworks ect that were created during his journalism career.The other part are the novelThe White Tiger, short stories Between The Assassinations and Smack, Last ChristmasIn Bandra that have not collected into his short stories. All these articles were createdafter he became a free writer. The existing researches on his works at home and abroadare short of system, because most critics explore his works only from some certainaspects. What’s more, the studies on his works created in his journalism career arescarce, almost a blank. Therefore, studies on his works have great development spaceand research potentials.As for the studies of his works’ integrities, this article treats virtual narrative andrealistic narrative work as its main research objects. So as to make an all-round study ofhis growing experience of his creation, and imagination of his works and the currentresearch situation on his works at home and abroad, it bases on the original works andcombines India’s economy, politics and culture. This paper is divided into four chapterson structure. First chapter is the introduction. The writer gives a brief review on India’history, geography, culture and social culture.Additionally, it puts forward the researchsignificance of itself.Study in chapter two is closely connected with his realistic narrative works.Theproceeding three sections separately analysis India’s politics, economy, culture, ect thatdepicted in his works. The fourth section analysis India’s social status in Adiga’s eyesand "scream","doubts" of India’s social status portrayed in his works.Study in chapter three integrates two major characteristics about power phenomenathat were pionted out by Zhu Guohua.It also sets foot in Adiga’s virtual narrative works. The proceeding three sections separately expound the power fortification in theeconomic, political, and cultural fields. The fourth section elaborates Adiga’s view ofIndia’s social status "anatomy","cross-examine" of India’s social status that described inhis works.Study in chapter four bases on the background of globalization and post-colonialtheory to interpret Adiga’s realistic narrative and virtual narrative. The interpretation onhis realistic narrative works India’s reality of its development and globalization.Thepaper mainly explores the reason why the paradox lies in the reality of India’s economyand politics and what were described in his works. The explanation of his virtualnarrative works is from post-colonial theories of ecological consciousness reflected inhis works.In closing, this article in the epilogue part summarize the integrity of the wholepassage. Adiga’s works not only have essential cognitive values, but have aestheticvalues.
