端泵Nd:YVO4主被动双调Q激光器实验研究

【摘要】 随着激光二极管(LD)泵浦全固态激光器的快速发展,激光器的调Q技术也成为了研究的重点,本文采用LD泵浦带光纤耦合输出的半导体激光器作为泵浦源,Nd:YVO4激光晶体作为激光器的工作物质,并对Nd:YVO4激光晶体进行端面泵浦,利用声光主动Q开关和Cr4+:YAG饱和吸收体被动Q开关作为激光器的调Q元件,对1064nm激光进行调Q,并对输出脉冲激光特性进行了分析研究。主要做了以下几个方面的工作:1.首先回顾了LD泵浦的固体激光器发展历程、激光器工作物质的种类、激光器泵浦的方式、激光器的热效应、激光器的冷却系统以及调Q激光器的工作原理。2.其次研究了LD端面泵浦Nd:YVO4激光晶体的声光主动调Q特性,对声光主动调Q的工作原理进行了说明,测得了在10kHz的重复频率下平均功率、脉冲宽度和峰值功率随泵浦电流的变化关系。3.然后研究了LD端面泵浦Nd:YVO4激光晶体Cr4+:YAG饱和吸收体被动调Q激光器的脉冲特性。对可饱和吸收体Cr4+:YAG的饱和吸收特性进行了分析,对不同透过率的Cr4+:YAG被动Q开关调Q特性进行了实验研究。分别测量了透过率为80%和60%的Cr4+:YAG饱和吸收体作为被动Q开关时的脉冲输出特性。4.最后研究了在LD端面泵浦Nd:YVO4激光晶体下,采用声光主动调Q和Cr4+:YAG被动调Q双调Q对激光谐振腔损耗进行调节的特性。在泵浦功率为23W,声光Q开关的重复频率为10kHz时,采用透过率为80%的Cr4+:YAG饱和吸收体声光主被动双调Q获得了峰值功率为9.3kW的脉冲激光输出,脉冲宽度稳定在14ns附近。

【Abstract】 With the rapid development of LD pumped all-solid-state laser, laser Q-switch has become a focus of the new technology. We use the laser diode (LD) pumped with a fiber-coupled output of solid-state laser as the pump source, laser crystal Nd:YVO4 as a laser material, the use of end-pumped Nd:YVO4 laser crystal, using acousto-optic active Q-switch and Cr4+:YAG saturable absorber passive Q-switch as Q-switch components of the laser 1064nm, the laser output pulse characteristics were analyzed. The main points of this paper can be summarized as follows:1. Review of LD pumped solid-state laser development process, the type of the laser material, the way of the pump laser, the thermal effect of the laser and Q-switch theoretical foundation.2. Detailed analysis the characteristics of the LD end-pumped Nd:YVO4 laser crystal with the acousto-optic active Q-switch, had measured the average power, pulse width and peak-power of the repetition frequency in the 10kHz.3. Detailed analysis the characteristics of the LD end-pumped Nd:YV04 laser crystal with the Cr4+:YAG saturable absorber passive Q-switch, had measured the Cr4+:YAG saturable absorption characteristics and analyzed different transmission of Cr4+:YAG at 80% and 60%.4. Research in the LD end-pumped Nd:YVO4 laser crystals, using acousto-optic active Q-switch and Cr4+:YAG passive Q-switch double loss of the laser cavity. When the pump power of 23W, acousto-optic active Q-switch repetition rate of 10kHz, the use of transmittance of 80% of the Cr4+:YAG passive Q-switch, obtained the peak-power of 9.3kW and stability pulse width of 14ns.
