图画故事书翻译研究

【摘要】 图画故事书是儿童“人生第一本书”,阅读图画故事书是儿童通向流畅的、独立的阅读过程中的一个不可逾越阶段。图画故事书对儿童发展具有独特的价值。国外的图画故事书经过300多年的洗炼,其创作理念、创作技术与手法已非常成熟,并趋向专业化。由于传统的对图画故事书的轻视和误解观点,我国图画故事书的创作与出版仍处于起步阶段,为了让儿童可以接触到优秀的图画故事书,我国引进了国外很多图画故事书,但针对图画故事书翻译的研究还很少,译者在翻译的过程中无从考证自己的翻译优劣,图画故事书在英译汉的过程中出现了很多值得商榷的地方。国外图画故事书的翻译跟其他类型的儿童文学的翻译又有什么不同之处?图画故事书究竟应该如何翻译,应当遵循何种原则?本文对图画故事书进行定义、给出了其基本翻译理论、提供了其翻译原则和方法,主要进行了以下几个方面的工作:(1)综述了图画故事书国内、外的发展,在深入探讨的基础上给出了图画故事书的定义,归纳了图画故事书具有的特征。对目前图画故事书翻译研究工作情况进行较为详尽的调研。(2)围绕如何针对图画故事书的读者(儿童)特点进行翻译这一问题进行了详细的分析,为译文应该采用的语言特点提供参考。详细阐述了图画故事书的翻译基本理论(儿童本位理论和接受美学理论)的具体内容,给出了儿童本位与接受美学两基本理论对翻译图画故事书的启示。(3)对大量的英文图画故事书和中文译本进行分析,根据儿童特点、图画故事书本身的特点和图画故事书的翻译理论,就图画故事书的英译汉进行了阐述。

【Abstract】 As a child’s first book in life, Picture story book has a unique value to children’s development. Reading Picture story book is an insuperable stage to the smooth, independent process of reading. Picture story books from abroad have become very mature and more specialized after 300 years of development, Because of the traditional contempt and misunderstanding to it, Picture story book and its publishing in China is still in its infancy. For the children to access to excellent and high qualified picture story book, we have introduced many foreign picture story books. But simultaneously we discovered that there are few discussion about the translation of picture story book.What kind of principle should the translator follow in translating? Whether the translation is proper to the children? How to translate the picture story book?This article attempted to definite picture story book and provide its basic translation theory and then provide its translation principle and method. It has carried on the following work:1. It summarized the development of picture story book at home and abroad, given the definition of picture story book, induced the characteristic of picture story book.It investigated the research situation of picture story book translation.2. It analyzed how to translate picture story book according to its reader—children’s characteristic. We should pay attention to the language feature in translating. It discussed the content of children oriented theory and reception aesthetic theory and their enlightenment to the translation of picture story book.3. It analyzed lots of picture story book from abroad and their chinese edition. It used a lot of examples in them to show how to translate picture story book.
