【Abstract】 In recent years,sequence stratigraphy modeling has been playing an important role in sedimentary basin analyses. It can be used to predict distribution and architecture of different facies, test and correct interpretation of seismic sections,and evaluate fundamental controls on basin stratigraphy. This paper introduces principle and method to develop software for sequence stratigraphy modeling,and discusses in detail modeling process chart and several models such as tectonic subsidence, sedimentation,sediment compaction,loading subsidence and erosion.
