【Abstract】 Based on the magnitude-period formula of earthquakes, which is derived by a large Earth-Sun system with many correlative factors and by nonlinear geodynamics, its simplified form is T=T 0·10 -b(M 0-M) ,in which a magnitude M 0=7 corresponds to a period T 0=250 years. We discuss a historical record on earthquakes in Huabei region. Results agree approximately with the formula, either evaluation of T from b or evaluation of b from T. From this some predictions on earthquakes may be obtained preliminarily.更多还原
