【Abstract】 The application of variation calculus in stability analysis of tailing dam was studied. The stability analysis of the tailing dam in different working conditions was carried out using the studied and developed 2-D variational analysis program of the tailing dam, and comparative analysis with limit equilibrium analysis method was made. The result shows that both analysis results are close,and adopting logarithmic spiral sliding surface for variational analysis is more practical.更多还原
