【Abstract】 Based on the Confucian thought that ‘the nature and man interact as one’, the regulation of reducing punishment for natural disasters in the Qing dynasty mainly included eliminating long-pending cases and heavy cases, forgiving, commuting sentence, and halting the hearing of cases, etc. The regulation of reducing punishment for natural disaster played a positive role in political and social life in the Qing dynasty.
