【Abstract】 A new method of using wavelet transform to improve resolution of seismic data ispresented, and thus the seismic inversion is performed more effectively. According to the usefulcharacteristics of wavelet transform, the log data is first decomposed, then every spectrum of theresult of decomposion is reconstructed and one group that is most similar to the seismic tracecorresponding to the log is looked for.
