【Abstract】 Velocity analysis is a very important step in seismic-data processing. The quality of velocity analysis directly affects normal moveout correction, and then affects stack imaging and migration. This paper describes various velocity analysis methods in different processing software (PROMAX, FOCUS and CGG software), and compares their advantages and disadvantages.
