【Abstract】 Combining theory of syntax pattern recognition with layer tracing in seismic data interpretation, the paper explained a algorithm of wave group identification in blurring attribution automaton and applied it to layer marking in both sides of fault. Conducting correlation of layers by using the algorithm, it has fast operational speed and no need for character of which equating known waveforms to still unrecognized waveforms in length.
