【Abstract】 Seismicity background of 1989 Datong-Yanggao, Shanxi, Earthquake of M6.1 is discussed based on studies on historical seismicity in Datong Basin and relations between historical seismicity in Datong basin and seismicities in the North-China seismic region and the Shanxi seismic belt. The view point of the authors is that this earthquake is a tailing of historical seismicity in this area and an important part of medium-strong earthquakes in northern part of the North-China. It is an generalized foreshock with important significance, along with followed Zhangbei earthquake of M6.2, labeling that seismicity period of North-China is coming into end.更多还原
