【Abstract】 The governments and people of China and Japan both showed extraordinary courage and wisdom respectively when earthquake happened in Wenchuan and Hanshin.A review of the unforgettable time and a comparison of the tragic course between the earthquake relief of the two countries make us to understand the considerable growth of the juridification,the technology in earthquake fighting and relief and people’s self-help in Japan and also make us to understand the measures taken by Chinese government and people through intensive earthquake fighting,speedy salvation and being united as one to weather the hard times.
