【Abstract】 Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, higher agricultural education has experienced four periods: recovery adjustment period, torturous period, reform exploration period and rapid take-off period. Great achievements have been made over the years. Agricultural universities have been greatly improved: some agricultural disciplines have been recognized and added to the world-class list, the quality of personnel training and research capabilities have been continuously improved, and global influence continues to increase. As we look forward to the future, China’s higher agricultural education needs to resonate with the new requirement of the new times and serve the needs of the country; We need to build new agricultural disciplines and help build a more beautiful China, promote comprehensive reforms and reform management mechanisms.
