【摘要】 著名美籍华人学者刘若愚在西方从事中国古典文论、文学的教学和研究三十多年,有大量的翻译实践,也提出了一些翻译理论。学界对他的翻译实践讨论较多,但对其翻译理论研究不够。本文在梳理、讨论刘若愚翻译理论内涵的基础上,认为他的翻译理论具有鲜明的实用性,不仅对中国诗歌、诗论的英文翻译有极强的指导意义,也丰富了翻译理论,对翻译理论形成的路向亦有一定的示范意义。更多还原

【Abstract】 James. J. Y. Liu,a famous Chinese-American scholar,had been engaged in the teaching and research of Chinese classical literature and theory for more than 30 years in the West.He had many translation practices and also put forward some translation theories. There are many papers on his translation practice,but few pay attention to his translation theories. This paper holds that Liu’s translation theories have distinct practicality on the basis of reviewing and discussing the connotation his translation theories. These theories not only have extremely directive significance,but also enrich the theory of translation,and have certain examplary significance for the path of forming translation theory.更多还原
