新疆博格达山北缘现今构造运动特征
MODERN TECTONIC MOTION CHARACTER ON THE NORTHERN VERGE OF BOGURDA MOUNTAIN,IN XINJIANG
【摘要】 受近南北向挤压应力作用的影响,新疆北天山地震带东段博格达山北缘发育多条晚第四纪活断裂,呈向北凸起的弧形,构成了博格达推覆体。这些晚第四纪活断裂现今活动方式继承了新构造运动以来的活动特点,博格达山由南向北继续推覆,在其北缘于1934年8月7日及1965年11月13日分别发生了6.0、6.6级地震。目前该处地震活动处于相对平静状态,未来存在发生6级地震的潜在危险。
【Abstract】 With the action of NS compressional stress,there exists lots of the late Quaternary active faults on the northern verge of Bogurda mountain of the eastern section of northern Tienshan seismic belt,which is arc-shaped and projects in the N direction,and forms Bogurda thrust block.Modern motion mode of these late Quaternary active faults succeeds to activity character since neotectonic motion,Bogurda mountain continues to thrust from south to north,and there occurred M_S 6.0 earthquake on Aug.7,1934,and M_S 6.6 earthquake on Nov.13,1965 on its northern verge.Now seismicity is relatively quiescent,and there occurs M_S 6 earthquake possibly in the future.
