【Abstract】 May 12,2008,the 8-magnitude ear thquake shook Wenchuan county,Sichuan Province with the intensity as high as 11 degrees.Due to intensity of 5～6 degrees,Xi’an felt strongly.Tower cranes in Shaanxi construction were damaged to varying degrees and casualties.According to statistics,more than 60 tower cranes were damaged to varying degrees in Shaanxi Province,including 20 seriously damaged tower cranes in Xi’an,which impacted the normal construction and caused about 50 million RMB loss.Tower cranes seriously damaged in the earthquake "5.12" are the ones whose height is 80 meters or above,and lifting torquemeter is 80tm or below.13 in 20 tower cranes that were damaged seriously are low market share and poor quality products.Even 7 tower cranes of the same brand were damaged with the same condition and position."5.12" earthquake left the human beings not only the disaster,but also something to think of.The damage of tower crane reflected some problems in design and use.How to revise the standard and norms,how to restructure the market,should be thought by all of us.更多还原
