【Abstract】 This paper briefly describes the general situation in application and development of space truss in China and specially gives a detailed review of the new techniques and structures in development of space truss, such as composite grid, triple-layer grid, prestressed grid and cable-stayed grid, as well as method of sand-wich plate analogy, bottom chord internal force method, equivalent space truss displacement method and several new joints of space truss.
