柴达木盆地南八仙预选地区粘土岩地质特征

【摘要】 粘土岩是高放废物地质处置库重要的候选围岩之一。野外地质踏勘查明柴达木南八仙地区出露一定规模的粘土岩和粉砂质泥岩,采用薄片鉴定、X射线衍射分析等方法,研究了该地区粘土岩的岩石学和矿物学等特征,结果表明,岩石具泥质结构、致密块状构造,除石英、方解石、云母外,粘土矿物主要为高岭石、伊利石等。初步认为该地区出露的粘土岩可以作为高放废物地质处置库场址潜在的围岩。

【Abstract】 Argilaceous rock is one of the important candidate host rocks for the repository of high-level radioactive waste geological disposal. Geological survey has been conducted on the clay formations in Nanbaxian area, northwest portion of Qaidam in Qinghai Autonomous Region. The initial results indicated that the argillaceous rocks such as clays and siltstone were widely extended in the study area. Petrology and mineralogy studies by X-ray diffraction analysis demonstrated that the clays are mainly composed of quartz, calcite, mica, kaolinite and illite with the politic texture and compact structure. The results of this study showed that it is necessary to conduct further studies on the clay formations in Nanbaxian area as the possible host rocks for high-level radioactive waste geological disposal repository.
