【Abstract】 In this paper, it is analyzed that the material of the coda duration time in Vertical component of 125 near earthquakes (1.2≤ML≤4.5, 30≤△≤400km) recorded by Type DD-1 short period seismograph at the Jishou seismo-station during 1987-1992, and the magnitude formula for the duration time of near earthquake was obtained using the least squares method. The testing results indicated that the application of this formula could make the magnitude computed not only quickly but also more precisely.更多还原
