南海北部陆缘地震带的深部结构和孕震机制
THE DEEP STRUCTURE AND EARTHQUAKE MECHANISM OF THE CONTINENTAL MARGINAL SEISMIC BELT ALONG THE NORTHERN SOUTH CHINA SEA
【摘要】 南海北部陆缘地震带的地震震源基本上分布在地壳内6~13 km和17~22km两个深度范围内,发震层恰好位于区内中地壳低速层和下地壳低速层的顶部附近。地壳深部结构的不稳定性以及侧向应力和垂向应力共同作用下的平移正断层错动,可能是该带地震孕育、发生的一种重要机制。
【Abstract】 Hypocenters of the continental marginal seismic belt along the northern South China Sea were mostly distributed in the depths of 6-13km and 17-12km within the crust, that is, the focal layers just lay upon and close to the top of the low - velocity anomaly bodies within the middle and the lower crust. Unstability of the deep structures in the crust and strike - slip - normal faulting produced by the combined effects of horizontal and vertical stresses may be one kind of important mechanism to result in earthquakes.
