【Abstract】 A place name is the exclusive name which people give to the nature or human geographical entity in a specific space and it contains both denotative and visual features,as well as embodying the duality of nature and society.Weizhou Island of Guangxi is the largest island in the Beibu Gulf in China.And it is also the nationally largest and youngest volcanic island which has developed into a settlement of Hakka.Many place names in Weizhou have their regional characteristics and naming rules,reflecting the special geographical environment and socio-cultural characteristics of the island.更多还原
