【Abstract】 Based on the successful protection of the steel landing pier in the ice flood period during the construction of No.1083 and No.1084 in-water piers of the second super large bridge over the Songhuajiang River on Harbin-Dalian Passenger Railway Line,the paper describes the integrative measures to protect the steel landing pier against ice jamming floods by building ice-breaking piles,opening passages for drift-ice flowing,and breaking and channeling away of drifting ice.The successful implementation of these measures helped the steel landing pier successfully get over the ice-flood period and may provide valuable engineering experiences for other similar projects in future.更多还原
