【Abstract】 On January 26,2001 a devastating earthquake with magnitude 7 8 struck the Gujarat State,India,resulting in great losses of life and property.This was the second large earthquake occurring in the area in history,arousing common concern in the international society.Some information data about this earthquake are overviewed in this paper,mainly including:focal parameters, background of earthquake occurrence,earthquake disasters;disaster relief and assistance, social and economic effects as well as several problems which merit consideration.更多还原
