【Abstract】 The new Guidelines for Seismic Design of Highway Bridges brings us the advanced seismic design concepts and some new design methods,the new and the old editions are compared and analyzed on two aspects through the comprehensive study of the new edition of the code for seismic design of the highway bridge.Firstly,the design principle and the seismic fortification creterions of the two codes are analyzed and compared.Secondly,the horizontal earthquake force are calculated in detail for the compare and analysis of the two specific design methods based on the response spectrum.According to the comparison and analysis,the improvement of the guiding principles and the specific seismic design methods are summarized and some useful references to the application of the new code are offered for designers and researchers更多还原
